At the end of a professional tile installation, there are plenty of scrap pieces of tile that might otherwise be tossed in the trash. Through the trencadís method, (the broken tile method), these odds and ends are repurposed into mosaics that use natural, organic shapes rather than straight lines. These mosaics also include shards from the occasional chipped plate or coffee mug (because life happens) and pieces of antique and vintage pottery that Bryan found while mudlarking along the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers (because treasure can always be found in the most unexpected places).
